Lighting could certainly matter like that other guy said, the only real way to know is to render the exact same scene twice (and make sure you reboot daz between renders)

Which water texture did you use? looks amazing!!My motherboard is semi-fucked hence why no renders, not that anybody gives a toss haha. OK Without CPU at 4K it got to 17 minutes with just 72% complete. seems the best way to go for me is to use just the GPU at 1080 and average time is average 15 minutes per render. i would rather not use the CPU at is was running circa 95oC so dont want to be replacing thermal paste on a new laptop anytime soon!! thanks for all your help on this to everybody.
just wish the 3090 was available as my goal was to get that and not a laptop with a 3080.. the wait for a 3080 is a "no idea" situation...
Big tip from me: Google "Three point lighting." Applying that technique makes renders look way better.

I was just about to say. I can do that on my 2060 in 10mins maybe less. I don't think the gpu is on.
